The entire project will be structured in 4 main groups (developed than in work packages) with the Fitness Academy as a responsible entity for their realization, while the sending organizations hold a crucial part in some of them.
The first part of the project consists of project management activities in all phases of its duration. The Fitness Academy shall establish a management mechanism which will follow the criteria given by this Call and the Erasmus+ program, along with a detailed work plan. It will guarantee a timely realization of all project activities as indicated in the work packages (WP) and explained in detail in the Methodology section. A special attention shall be given to financial and administrative management in order to secure a balanced expenditure of the funding and timely resolution of potential risks (WP1). Furthermore, an internal control system shall be established to evaluate the effectiveness of the project management and the outcome of each of the activities in a manner indicated in the timetable (WP2).
The first part refers to the condition analysis in each of the participating countries. Gathering data refers to the existence of a normative regulative dealing with the problem of anorexia and physical activity, social inclusion and gender equality. Based on these research it will be possible to make a comparative study of different legal approaches to anorexia and physical activity/sports.
The second part refers to sharing good practices among the participating organizations. The goal is to share knowledge on the physical activity as a part of the treatment and the post-treatment period, the way in which the target groups (the afflicted and their families) approach the use of physical activities in treatment and social inclusion. At the same time, A qualitative research shall be conducted through questionnaires uniform to all organizations which will be primarily answered by persons in treatment and those who have already finished with the treatment. In this phase, sports organizations tackling the problem of anorexia and the overtraining syndrome shall be included and their experience on the timely detection of the problem shall be gathered. The ultimate goal is to find out to which extent the clubs, rehabilitation centres, institutions have sports and physical enhancing activities targeted at specific groups and to which extent the clubs has members belonging to this socially vulnerable group. (WP4)
One part of the activities in this group will refer to the organization of events in which the treatment and post-treatment persons will participate. Experience exchange, promoting the balanced physical activity, participation of both women and men shall be the guiding line. Likewise, relations between the participants and the “outsiders” shall also be promoted in order to highlight the socially inclusive dimension of sports. This will be done through, for example, meetings between the post-treatment persons and their high school peers, staff from the Faculty of Kinesiology in Zagreb and the interested public (WP5).
At the same time, the days will also be reserved for international conference, scientific meetings, round tables, workshops with the topic of moderate physical activity and its influence of the improvement of the general psychophysical state and their capability of being an instrument of social inclusion (WP6).
Important parts of the project with horizontal effect which will last throughout its realization is the communication activity and the dissemination of results which will start after the end of the second work group.
They are entirely under the jurisdiction of the Fitness Academy which will establish and support the communication with the sending organizations. The communication will flow on two levels: between the project participants on one side and, on another, between participants and all the relevant stakeholders on the EU level with a purpose of sensitizing and raising awareness, as:
– sports associations
– public institutions
– academic communities
– local health institutions
The last part of the project shall be a broad dissemination of the project results and suggestions. The goal of this activity is a dissemination of the gathered analyses, suggested politics and work manners as well as widening the chosen best practices of different countries. They will all be a part of the guidelines which will be one of the outputs of this phase. The dissemination will firstly refer to everyone involved in the project taking special care that the sending organizations share the outputs to public bodies, associations and sports organizations which meet the problems presented here in their counties.
